Full-time Water Utility/Wastewater Treatment Plant operator.
With limited supervision, this craft worker (and occasional crew chief) position operates and maintains equipment, infrastructures, and processes under guidance and supervision as appropriate in order to meet or exceed all permit limitations for the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Utility.
Candidates must possess: A high school diploma or GED certificate, Three years of Public Works, Water, or Wastewater experience, An MPCA Class D Wastewater License, or an MDH Class D Water License, or an MPCA Type IV Biosolids License. Full-Time Park Superintendent: Under general direction, this managerial position plans, develops, coordinates, and supervises a comprehensive maintenance program for all City parks and leisure time/recreation facilities and prepares plans for parkland development.
Candidates must possess: Associate’s degree or equivalent training at a technical or vocational school with a focus on Parks, Recreation, Horticulture or Turf Maintenance, Five years of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services experience, Tree Inspector license, Pesticide Applicator license, Minnesota driver’s license. The starting pay for this position is $65,483-$82,672, depending on qualifications. Paid On-Call Part Time Firefighters: Minimum qualifications include: Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license. Must be able to respond to fires and other emergencies and live within 10 minutes of the Waseca Fire Station. Preferred Qualifications include: Basic 1403 Firefighting training (required by OSHA), MN Dept. of Health First Responder Training, Previous Firefighting experience, First Aid/CPR Certified.
