Payroll & Administrative Clerk

The City of Waseca is seeking a full-time Payroll & Administrative Clerk.

Under general supervision, this skilled administrative position performs payroll processing, administrative work related to permits and licenses, and recordkeeping of official City documents. This position also works with City Council matters, including issuing public announcements and serving as back-up for preparing agenda packets, taking and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on action items.

Minimum Qualifications
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the formal education, experience, and training required.

Education
High school diploma or GED certificate required

Experience
Three (3) years of payroll processing experience
Minute-taking and records management experience

Trainings, Certificates, and Licenses
Commissioned Notary Public, or ability to obtain within 3 months of start date
